Analyse the Problems to find Best Solution to Enhance Safety and Punctuality of Trains - Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, GM, SCR

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway instructed officials to analyse the recurring problems and find out best possible solution for avoiding failures in train operations and maintain enhanced safety standards with punctuality of trains. He conducted a review meeting with Principal Heads of Departments today i.e., 17thJuly, 2018 at SCR Headquarters Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded have also joined through video conference. 

Addressing the meeting, the General Manager stressed upon the need to conduct detailed case study of each problem of the failures to find the best solution and this case study should be useful for reference, so that the time of finding the solution can be reduced for others and for practicing in future. He reviewed the progress of track maintenance works over the Zone and instructed the officials to maintain the punctuality standards. He also reviewed the steps being taken by Divisions for cleanliness over the Zone and to ensure improvements and effective mechanism for cleanliness round the clock. He also instructed the concerned officials to concentrate o­n the o­n-Board House Keeping contract activities like maintenance of Bio-Toilets, Cleaning of coaches etc. Further he advised the officials to find a proper display system o­n the complaints/suggestions related to coach cleaning, so that they can take timely action to resolve the issues.

  The meeting held elaborate discussions o­n Safety aspects and focused o­n the need for track renewal works to be carried out to prevent untoward incidents.  He also held a detailed review of Punctuality status of the Zone and suggested measures to eliminate the temporary speed restrictions to improve punctuality and mobility. He instructed all the DRMs to take precautionary measures during monsoon season.
