Integral Coach Factory, Chennai Bags 64th All India Railway Volleyball Championship for Men


 

 


Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai team bagged the 64th All India Railway Volleyball Championship for Men held at the Railway Sports Complex Grounds, Secunderabad. In the finals played today i.e., 22nd November, 2018 ICF beat North Frontier Railway (NFR) Team by scoring 25/21, 25/16 and 25/19. While NFR team stood as runners and Northern Railway bagged 3rd position. This Championship has been organized by South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA), Secunderabad.

Shri John Thomas, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway presented the winners championship to Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. Addressing the large gathering of sports enthusiast during the closing ceremony, Shri John Thomas appreciated the Team effort of the winning team to clinch the title in a tough fight during the final match played. He also admired the efforts of players participated in the tournament representing other Railway Zones and Production Units who have shown excellent spirit of sportsmanship.

Total twenty teams representing various Zonal Railways, Production Units, Railway Board and Railway Protecting Force (RPF) teams participated in the tournament held from 12th to 22nd November, 2018.

Shri E.V.Krishna Reddy, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer & General Secretary, SCRSA, Shri S.K.Gupta, Deputy Chief Engineer & Secretary, Volleyball, SCRSA, other sports officers and other officials were present.
