Accord Priority to Ensure Punctuality -Shri John Thomas, AGM,SCR

Shri John Thomas, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway congratulated the officials for successful running of all Sankranti festival special trains with punctuality and crowed management etc in handling the rush at all the important stations o­n the zone. He held a review meeting o­n Safety, Punctuality, Loading and Cleanliness etc today i.e., 22nd January, 2019 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. The Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.

Shri John Thomas instructed the Divisional Railway Mangers to prepare the plans for providing quick watering system to coaches at required locations o­n the zone o­n priority basis to fill the water into the coaches in 5 minutes with an idea to reduce the detention time of the trains. 6 locations have been identified in the zone for implementing the quick watering system. While reviewing the cleanliness, he instructed the officials to conduct the inspections o­n coach cleaning and to monitor the cleaning activities of o­n-board House Keeping to ensure the high standards of cleanliness.

Additional General Manager also reviewed all the safety aspects. He held detailed review of all the minor incidents took place in the zone such as brake binding, hot axial, gate open case and minor derailments at yards etc. He also reviewed o­n the freight loading and advised the DRM’s to make advance action plans to meet the targets and work meticulously to reach optimal customer satisfaction.He discussed o­n implementation of station security plans at Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Tirupati Railway stations to strengthen. All the DRM’s briefed o­n o­n-going infrastructural works such as remodelling of yards, doubling, and passenger amenities etc.

Ramana Reddy, Principal Chief Personnel Officer; Shri T.J. Prakash, Principal Chief Medical Director; Shri G.M. Eswara Rao, Principal Chief Security Commissioner were amongst the officials present.
