Strictly Adhere to Safety Procedures & Ensure Safety in Train Operations -Shri R.K.Kulshrestha, GM, SCR


Shri R.K.Kulshrestha, General Manager, South Central Railway held a review meeting o­n Safety & Punctuality in train operations today i.e., 28th January, 2019 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. The Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e., Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.

Shri R.K.Kulshresthastressed that the safety procedures should be strictly adhere and shortcut methods are not allowed in the system of train operations. He instructed the Divisional Railway Managers to expedite the root causes where there is a possibility of human error in train operations and strengthen the systems with modern technological solutions. He also advised the officials to find the Level Crossings Gates which are vulnerable in terms of safety in train operations and strengthen the systems as early as possible to ensure safety.

The General Manager also reviewed all the minor incidents took place in the zone such as yard derailments, gate open cases etc. He also reviewed o­n the freight loading and advised the DRM’s to make advance action plans to meet the targets and work meticulously to reach optimal customer satisfaction.All the DRM’s briefed the General Manager regarding o­n-going infrastructural works, station redevelopment works and passenger amenities such as provision of WiFi facilities at more stations, LED lighting, quick watering facilities etc.
