Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway stressed upon the need to encourage women to grow independent so that they can achieve equal status in all aspects of life. Today, we have got women working across all spheres of activity including as Loco-Pilots, Ticket checking staff, RPF personnel, Station Masters, Engineers etc., It is proved that they are capably handling field jobs too including Gang Units, Signaling maintenance etc. When women force and Organization works together nothing is impossible in terms of achievement, he added. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at a meeting held on the occasion of International Women’s Day, organized by South Central Railway Employees Sangh (SCRES) at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad today i.e., 8thMarch, 2017.
Smt. Archana Yadav, President , SCR Women’s Welfare Organization said that Education is the Mile Stone to Women Empowerment, it makes them capable to respond the challenges and confront the bias in the traditional society which makes significant change in their lives. Education also place key role in making the women to understand their basic rights and privileges. In spite of all the efforts and schemes in implementation, women continued to be neglected in terms of education in India. In our country where literacy rate in men is around 85% and women literacy rate is 66% only, she added.
