General Manager holds Works Review Meeting; calls for pro-active approach to attain targets


Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway advised to workwith pro-active approach so as to excel and attain targets set for the Zone in the current fiscal 2017-18. He was addressing a works review meeting with all the Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) at Rail Nilayam and the Divisional Railway Managers of all six divisions through video conferencing today i.e. 8th April, 2017.

The General Manager a detailed review o­n the progress of works related to Traffic Facilities, Level Crossings, Passenger Amenities Division-wise and Works-wise and instructed to all the DRMs to complete all pending works within the stipulated time. He also made a comment o­n o­ngoing rail projects and expenditure incurred towards various allocated heads shall be given due priority. The General Manager made it clear that the Officials need to reach out to the rail customers and work hard in the remaining months of the current FY, so as to meet the objectives set.

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, speaking o­n the priority areas like improvement of goods sheds, development of satellite station at Cherlapalli, west side entry at Tirupati railway station and bypass line at Kazipet etc. He specially mentioned that top priority should be given to passenger amenities like foot over bridges, renovation of station buildings, waiting halls, construction of lifts, escalators and works related to divyangs and need to be completed o­n priority.Further, General Manager quoted that “the progress of any work can be completed o­nly by team work” not by an individual.

The General Manager spelling out another area of priority, the completion of projects as per the targets set towards which money is no constraint. He also advised the all the officials of the Zone, plan early so that the targets can be achieved within the targeted time frame.
