Sr.Divisional Personnel Officer
Recruitment, Career Progression & Retirement are the three vital functions of Personnel Department contributing to the success of the Organisation.Officers & staff of Personnel Department work as a coordinated team and strive to serve the railway men & their families.Personnel Department is headed by Sr. DPO assisted by one APO.The total Divisional sanctioned strength is 4762 and 3933 are on rolls.
The Division has been recruiting employees through RRB panels and on Compassionate Grounds. Vacancies, especially those in Safety on categories are filled on a time bound manner by conducting regular selections through a selection calendar.
Financial Up gradation Under MACP Scheme:
The Division has granted upgradations under Financial upgradation Scheme w.e.f. 01.9.2008. A master chart has been prepared identifying the beneficiaries under MACP scheme of all departments which helps the dealing staff to give the MACP up gradations in a time bound manner.To streamline the system, close monitoring on the finalization of APARs of employees is done. The Division was first in implementing the restructuring of ALPs.
The Division has been maintaining peaceful and harmonious industrial relations with the organized trade unions.The Permanent Negotiating Machinery (PNM) is effectively functioning in the Division solving number of grievances of the employees.The Division is following the system of publishing PNM calendar at the beginning of the year specifying the scheduled dates of PNM’s which is generally adhered to.The Division has also started a unique practice of conducting PNM’s through Power Point Presentation which helps in finalizing the minutes on the spot.
Under the aegis of SBF, this Division conducts Annual Children’s Holiday Camp regularly to meet the educational and recreational needs of wards of railway employees. During the year, Children’s Holiday camp was conducted at Ernakulam, Munnar, Thekadi, Mysore & Bangalore and Employees camp was conducted at Shimla, Delhi & Jammu and was widely appreciated.
Every first working day of month settlement function is being organised all the settlement benefits will be paid to the retired employees.
Division has started issuing Service Certificate, PPO, Medical ID card, Pass advice to which station employees wish to receive pass after retirement in the settlement function itself.
A unique facility for the Railway employees is a Banquet Hall called Rail Mahal.It is highly patronized by the staff for conducting marriage/other functions.There was a long pending demand for making this hall air conditioned.Air conditioning has been recently done making it the most sought after venue for holding functions in Guntur.
