ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT

Electrical (M) branch is responsible for electrical maintenance of 6627 quarters with major settlement at Hyderabad area, Rail Nilayam building and water pumping requirement. In addition to it the maintenance of electrical portion of 361 TL coaches, 87 AC coaches based at KCG depot and TRD organization is also under Elect (M) organization. Branch is headed by One JAG assisted by Two ADEEs.

1.0PERFORMANCE :

ØContinuous reduction in the energy consumption achieved in-spite of the increase in connected load.

vNational Energy Conservation Awards 2015 - 1st Prize for C-TARA  building in Office building Category:

C-TARA building has bagged First Prize in the “Office Building Sector” National Energy Conservation Award 2015 duly competing with the all Private Sector buildings and PSU buildings in India. The award was distributed by Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble MOS (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Power, Coal and New renewable energy, Government of India on           14th December 2015 at Vigyan Bhavan. Afterenacting the energy conservation in 2003, the ministry of Power has introduced the energy conservation awards through BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) to increase the awareness of Industry for sustainable India in energy Sector. Hyderabad Division has created record by achieving this award in consecutive year.

vNational Energy Conservation Awards 2015 – Certificate of Merit:

The following four Locations also bagged the “Certificate of Merit”. This is the record number of awards in the history of the South Central Railway.

ØSheepmandi Pump House selected for Certificate of Merit in General Category

ØCentral Hospital/Lallaguda got Certificate of Merit in Hospital Category

ØZonal Railway Training Institute  selected for Certificate of Merit in Universities and Engineering Institutions Category

ØKacheguda Railway Station is selected for Certificate of Merit in Railway Stations Category.
