DEDICATION OF NEW LINE TO THE NATION BY HONORABLE PM:
Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, dedicated a new Railway line of 110KM between Bidar and Gulbarga to the nation and flagged off a DEMU train service on 29.10.2017, along with Hon’ble Minister for Railways, GM/South Central Railway and other dignitaries.
A special drive was started in view of “Swachch Bharat” by the Division involving all officers and staff for maintaining cleanliness and creating awareness among the travelling public to keep the station premises clean.
MEMBER TRAFFIC, RLY BOARD VISIT TO SECUNDERABAD RAILWAY STATION:

CERTIFICATION OF SECUNDERABAD RAILWAY STATION AS ‘GREEN RAILWAY
Secunderabad Railway Station has earned the distinction of being the first Railway Station to be certified as ‘Green Railway Station’ by the Indian Green Building Council-Confederation of Industry (IGBC-CII), in association with Indian Railways. The station has bagged the coveted Silver Rating in the category.
RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (National Unity Day) :
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was observed on 31.10.17 in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Unity Pledge was administered by DRM/SC, officers and staff. A ‘Run for unity’ was also organized at several locations on this occasion.
The originating loading during the month was 6.117 MTs as against 6.39 MTs loaded in the corresponding month of the last year.
The passenger traffic during the month was 9.89 Million (approx.) as against 10.65 Million in the corresponding month of the last year.
The goods earnings during the month were Rs. 450.17 cr as against Rs. 363.63 cr in the corresponding month of the last year.
The passenger earnings during the month were Rs. 113.88 cr as against Rs. 105.97 cr in the corresponding month of the last year, an increase of 7.5 %.
Ticket Checking Earnings:
The ticket checking earnings during the month was Rs. 2.68 cr (appox.) as against Rs. 2.26 cr in the corresponding month of the last year showing an increase of 18.6 %.
A total of three ATVM fascilitators have been appointed at HTCY(Two) and BTNR(One).
Inauguration of Children park at TDU by GM:
GM/SCR during annual inspection has inaugurated children park ( a recreation facility) at Tandur (TDU) and appreciated the efforts in creating the amenities in the children's park as a part of Staff Welfare measures.
Opening of New Line:
On 29th Dec, 2013, Hon'ble Minister of Railways, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has commissioned the new Railway line between Khanapur and Humnabad, in the presence of other dignitaries and Railway officers.
Flagging of new Train:
On 30th Dec, 2013, Honourable MR Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has inaugurated a new DEMU passenger for 5 day week with 3 trips each end between BIDR-HMBD-BIDR, in the presence of other other dignitaries and railways officers.
Conducting of DRUCC:
on 30th dec, 2013 156th DRUCC meeting was held in the Divisional Conference Hall. 20 members (out of total 29) attended the meeting.
Running of Special Trains :
61 Special train trips were run from Hyderabad/Secunderabad stations to different destinations to meeet the increased demand of passenger traffic. These trains had an average occupancy of 94.94% and fetched an additional earning of Rs. 203.51 lakh.
Closure of Level Crossing gate:
During the month one Level crossing has been closed between PDPL-LPJL Section and also one Unmanned level crossing gate (LC No. 35) has been closed by Direct closure. With this, a total of 6 LCs (3 unmanned and 3 manned) have been eliminated in the Division during the current year against the targeted 30 LCs by various means.
On 14th Nov 2013, "World Diabetes Day" was conducted at HU/CKL. 150 employees and patients from various depots have participated.
|Diesel loco outage (DLS/KZJ) during the month was 77.14 vis-a-vis the target of 71.00. The outage of ELS/KZJ was 126.50 against the target of 111.78 and that of ELS/LGD, 72.41 against the target of 64.04|
Inspection of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways:
On 13th November 2013, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways headed by Hon'ble MP Sri T.R.Baalu along with other dignitaries inspected Necklace Road station.
On 20th September 2014 Shri Ghajibye Secretary, Railway Board inspected SC station.
Web based Grievances recording system:
The SC division running successfully a web-based system of recording grievances of staff so that the redressal mechanism gets activated instantly.
