The Golden Temple or Darbar Sahib, situated in Amritsar, Punjab, is the most sacred temple for Sikhs. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the Sikh people all over the world. In the evolution of the Darbar Sahib, is entwined the history and ideology of Sikhism. In its architecture are included, symbols associated with other places of worship.

 

Varanasi is well connected both by air and rail with all the important places of India . Its distance from Delhi is about 700 Kms. The Railway Station is about 10Kms. and the airport about 32 Kms. from the University. The city is relatively free from the menace of pollution. Its weather varies from 40 C in summer (May-June) to 50 C in winter (December-January). During the major part of the year the city has a temperate climate The city is very hospitable.

 

The Vaishno Devi hindu pilgrimage is nestled in the Trikuta Mountain. It lies 61 km north of Jammu in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir. Perched at a height of 5,200 feet above the sea level, Vaishno Devi is a cave in the lower Himalayas. Katra, the town at the foot of the Trikuta hills is the base camp for the Vaishno Devi shrine. The shrine is visited all through the year, but the path is difficult during the winters when the route is often blocked by snowfall.

 

Haridwar is considered as the gateway to the four pilgrimages in the Uttrakhand region, The Ganga leaves the mountains and enters the plains with Hardwar being the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely nevertheless it becomes very quite and calm here. The water is clean and people prefer taking bath on the numerous ghats built on the river shores. It is said that taking bath here purifies the soul and opens the way for the ultimate freedom, Nirvana.
