Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister Lays Foundation Stone for Komuravelli (H) Railway Station

Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Development of North East Region laid the foundation stone for the construction of Komuravelli (H) Railway station o­n 15thFebruary, 2024 in the august presence of Shri Mohan Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh; Shri V. Roja Radhakrishna Sharma, Hon'ble Chairperson, Zilla Praja Parishad, Siddipet; Dr. Laxman, Hon’ble Member of Parliament; Shri Boora Narsaiah, Ex-Member of Parliament and Shri Raghunandan Rao, Ex-Member of Legislative Assembly. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway; Shri Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and other senior Railway officials were also be present.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri G. Kishan Reddy stated that the Komuravelli (H) station will immesnly benefit thousands of pilgrims who visit Komuravelli every day to seek blessings of Mallikarjuna Swamy. He thanked the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and Hon’ble Railway Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw for their support in fulfilling the long cherished dream of the people. He informed that the Komuravelli Station falls o­n the Manoharabad – Kothapalli New Railway Line, a part of this project, i.e., Manoharabad – Siddipet has recently been dedicated by Hon’ble Prime Minister. He informed that the upcoming Komuravelli station will have all facilities for passengers including High Level Platform, Station building with temple architecture, Ticket booking counter, WifI facility waiting hall etc.,

Further, the Hon’ble Union Minister stated that various measures are being taken for the improvement of Rail infrastructure across Telangana State. As part of the same, 40 Railway stations are being redeveloped in Telangana State including Secunderabad, Nampally, Kacheguda stations etc., he said. Free Wi-Fi facility is also being provided at all stations, he said. In the last nine years, around Rs. 30,000 crores have been spent for Rail developmental works in Telangana State, he added. He stated that a outer ring rail road will soon be constructed around Hyderabad which will help to decongest major Railway stations in the city. He informed that top priority is being accorded to the out ring rail project which will revolutanize Rail travel and facilitate the passengers.

Shri Mohan Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh while addressing the gathering stated that it is a blessing to witness the laying of foundation stone for o­nstruction of Kommurvelli (H) Railway Station. He said that Railways is vital for the common people and also plays an important role in the economic development and growth of the Nation. He said that today, Railways is connecting all parts of the Country, South - North - East - West with Madhya Pradesh. He stated that under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, Railway infrastructure and connectivity is witnessing major development across the Nation. I hope that the Komuravelli stations will be constructed at the earliest with all amenties, so as to facilitate the pilgrim passengers, he said.

Earlier, Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR presented the welcome address. He said that the upcoming Komuravelli station will benefit the pilgrims passengers and provide first time direct Rail connectivity to the people of the temple town. He said that the station is located less than 3 Kms from the temple which will be convenient to the rail users. It will also be beneficial to students, small businessmen, regular travelers and daily labour, he added.

vOnce, the entire new Railway Line (i.e., Manoharabad – Kothapalli) is completely commissioned, it will link important pilgrim places like Vemulawada, Bheemeshwaralayam, Kondagattu, Koti Lingeshwara Swamy temple, etc.

vThe new railway line after completion serves as the shortest route towards Karimnagar and beyond from Hyderabad city and thus facilitates introduction of long-distance trains.

vIt will aid in the Socio-Economic development of people in the region.
