ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Engineering Branch: Headed by Sr. DEN/Co-ord/HYB assisted by DEN/Lines, DEN/North, DEN/Bridges and DEN/Estates.

Functions –

Maintenance of all major service buildings like Rail Nilayam, Hyderabad Bhavan, S&T workshop / Mettuguda, G&S Stores depot / Mettuguda, Diesel shed / Moula Ali, ECS/MLY, IRISET, Rail Club, ZTC/MLY, Central Hospital / Lallaguda etc and all Railway colonies of Twin city area consisting of 5351 quarters.

Maintenance of Track on Secunderabad to Dhone section and Secunderabad to Mudkhed section along with branch lines on Jankampet to Bodhan, Gadwal to Raichur and Devarkadra to Krishna stations (Total Track Km – 691.96 Km)

Planning for Removal of Manned LC gates in 2020-21

Target for the year – 12 Nos (Through Provision of RUB)

Already completed in 2020-21 = 12 Nos (Through Provision of RUB)

New lines under Construction

1. Manoharabad – Kothapalli Section ( New line) – Section between Manoharabad to Gajwel stations (30.10 Km) is commissioned in Aug-2020 and further work between Gajwel to Kothapalli is in progress

2. Akannapet – Medak Section (New Line - 17.20 Km) – Work is in progress

      3. Devakadra – Krishna Section (New line) – Section between Devarkadra to Makthal Stations (39.32 Km) is commissioned in June'2020 and further work between Makthal to Krishna is in progress.

     4. Doubling between Falaknuma to Mahabubnagar Section – Section between Shadnagar to Gollapalli stations (31 Km)  is commissioned in June-2020 and further work between Falaknuma to Shadnagar stations and Gollapalli to Mahabubnagar stations is in progress.

Hyderabad Division is the custodian of all major service buildings like Rail Nilayam, Hyderabad Bhavan, S&T workshop / Mettuguda, G&S Stores depot / Mettuguda, Diesel shed / Moula Ali, EMU Car shed/Moula Ali, IRISET, Rail Club, ZTC/Moula Ali, Central Hospital / Lallaguda etc. At the same time all the Railway colonies of Secunderabad / Hyderabad Twin city area consisting of 5351 quarters are also under the control of Hyderabad Division.

TRACK

·Hyderabad Division starts at Km 1.00 (Excl Secunderabad) and ends at Km 296.00 (Excl Dhone). Starts at Km 619.700 ( Excl Secunderabad) and ends at Km 373.400 (Excl Mudkhed). Starts at Km 0.0 ( Incl Jankampet Junction) and ends at Km 20.050 (Incl Bodhan), Starts at km 57.160.(Incl Gadwal) and ends at km 1.55 (Excl Raichur)

·The new BG line section between Devarkadra – Jaklair stations (28 Km), is commissioned and taken over by the Division. The section between Jaklair - Makthal stations (11.40 Km) commissioned recently, to be taken over by Hyderabad Division

·The new BG line section between Manoharabad – Gajwel stations (33 Km), is commissioned recently, to be taken over by Hyderabad Division.

·The new double line between Shadnagar – Gollapalli Stations (30.23 Km) on Secunderabad – Dhone section, CRS inspection has been done on 15/16.09.2020 and CRS Authorization received for Maximum Permissible Speed of 75 Kmph and taken over by open line.
