Shri Arvind Dharmapuri, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Nizamabad will dedicate the Jankampet Goods Shed in Telangana to the Nation o­n 09^thJuly, 2026. Hon’ble Members of Legislative Council - Shri B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, Shri C. Anji Reddy, Shri M. Komaraiah & Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Shri R. Bhoopathi Reddy and other public representatives are likely to grace the function. Shri D.S Rama Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division; Shri A. Sridhar, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Central Railway; Shri Anirudh Pamar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division and other senior Railway officials will also be present.

South Central Railway has been playing a vital role in the growth trajectory of Indian Railways by contributing to various aspects like infrastructure development, Passenger services etc.  Apart from this, the zone has been keen in further expanding its freight basket through various freight centric initiatives. Continuing this momentum, Hyderabad Division of the zone has developed a new goods shed at Jankampet Railway station in Telangana with a cost of Rs. 9 crores with an aim to further improve the freight and goods handling facilities near Nizamabad area and also to benefit the local traders.

The newly commissioned goods shed at Jankampet will provide a significant boost to freight transportation in the region and will immensely benefit the freight customers, traders and merchants. There is also potential for further increase of goods trains handling and commodities at this goods shed.
