-606 cases of littering and spitting were detected at Stations and o­n-Board trains

South Central Railway has been committed towards maintaining clean, hygienic and passenger-friendly Railway stations and trains across the zone.  Continuing this momentum, Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a Special Anti-Littering Drive for a period of 20 days from 17^th July to 05^thAugust 2026 across major railway stations in the division.

During the drive, 606 casesof littering and spitting were detected at stations and o­n-board trains and the offenders were penalised under the relevant provisions of the Railways Act. The drive was carried out by Ticket Checking Staff (TTEs) and Commercial Department officials at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Begumpet, Lingampalli, Charlapalli, Kazipet, Warangal and KhammamRailway stations.

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR commended the efforts of commercial department, Secunderabad division for successfully carrying out the anti-littering drive to promote clean practices and responsible behaviour among Rail users.

South Central Railway appeals to the Rail users to co-operate with Railways in the upkeep of Railway stations and trains by utilizing the dustbins provided, thereby helping maintain cleaner and more pleasant Railway premises.
