Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held detailed review meeting o­n safety of train operations across the zone today i.e., 15^th September, 2026 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with the Principal Heads of Departments participated in the meeting. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all three Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.  

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava advised the officials to strengthen security along the track to avoid any miscreant activities. He also discussed with regard to strengthening of communication network between petrolmen / trackmen with station staff. Further, he instructed the officials and supervisors to be more cautious while performing track maintenance activities in the section involving men and machinery and advised to strictly abide with the rules and procedures in-vogue.

The General Manager suggested the officials to advice the supervisors to counsel the field staff to maintain utmost alertness and need to act as per protocol / procedure available in the safety rules while performing duties. The General Manager also emphasized o­n conducting regular refresher courses and to nominate the staff without fail for updating the knowledge with the latest safety protocols, rules and operational practices

The General Manager reviewed the status of trimming of trees and advised the officials to further expedite the process to ensure clear visibility of signal aspects to the crew. The General Manager reiterated the importance of continued focus o­n worksite protection and seamless coordination between different departments while carrying out any work. Further, the General Manager reviewed the status of various o­n-going works across the zone and advised the Divisions to complete the works by the targeted dates.
