V. Highlights:

       a)   Installation and Commissioning Hot Axle Hot Wheel Detector                       System (HAHW)

03 Hot Axle/Hot Wheel Detector Systems (with limited functionality)                       have been commissioned at the following locations:

     ·Basmat (BMF) in PAU–AK section on 27.08.2024

    ·Mugat (MGC) in NED–MUE section on 10.09.2024

    ·Daulatabad (DLB) in AWB–MMR section on 10.09.2024

These systems use sensors to monitor axle box temperatures. The data is  relayed to the next C&W depot, where trains will be examined. If a hot axle is  detected, the condition of the CTRB will be checked, and based on the  inspection, the wagon will either be allowed to continue or detached.

This system will enhance the reliability of railway assets and contribute to            safer train operations. Whenever a hot axle is detected, an alert will be sent          to C&W/Control and the nearest TXR point for necessary action.
