-The General Manager Held a detailed Review Meeting on Safety of train operations.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a safety review meeting and examined the status of station redevelopment works undertaken on SCR today i.e., 14th July, 2025 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, SCR participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava held a review on the status of redevelopment works undertaken at 119 stations on the zone as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme with a cost of approximately Rs. 6744 crores (out of which, works at 3 stations viz. Begumpet, Warangal & Karimnagar have been completed and were recently inaugurated by Hon’ble PM). The concerned officials from Headquarters & six Divisions gave a detailed power point presentation on stations identified for redevelopment pertaining to their division, project cost, targeted date of completion and present status of the work.
The General Manager appreciated the progress of works in stations undertaken for major upgradation across the zone. He instructed the officials to maintain the same pace of works so as to complete the projects at the earliest. He also advised the officials to ensure compliance of all safety guidelines and quality of works, without fail. He instructed the officials that proper precautions have to be taken at every worksite, without causing any inconvenience to passengers.
During the meeting, Shri Sanjay Kumar reviewed the safety precautions being followed at Level crossing gates across the zone. He laid special emphasis on identified vulnerable LC gates and instructed the officials to conduct regular inspections, counsel the staff and strictly ensure adherence of all safety procedures. The General Manager also reviewed the status of various safety drives undertaken by the zone pertaining to safety of tracks, availability of equipments etc. He also reviewed the fire safety measures, track safety, electrical and signaling, Mechanical items and Monsoon precautions.
