-Works progressing at fast pace to provide comfort and convenience to rail users
A major transformation is in progress for Indian Railways with upgradation of Railway stations on a massive scale, with a vision to provide World-class facilities to the passengers. Under the “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme” (ABSS), 40 Railway stations across Telangana are being redeveloped with an estimated cost of Rs 2,750 crores. The mission got a major boost when the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi laid foundation stone for redevelopment of stations in the state of Telangana during August, 2023 and February, 2024. Recently, three Amrit stations (Begumpet, Warangal & Karimnagar) in Telangana were inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister.
Huppuguda Railway station in Hyderabad Division of SCR is being redeveloped under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) with an approximate cost of Rs 26.81Crore. Huppuguda station isa Suburban Grade-3 station located in southern part of Hyderabad city in Falaknuma – Kacheguda section and serves the passengers in and around the area. The average footfall at this station is 5,000 passengers per day and the commuters mainly travel from here to different parts of the city in suburban trains especially towards west part of the city like Hi-tech city, Lingampalli etc for employment, business. Around 50 trains are dealt at this station per day including suburban trains.

Status of the Works
·Waiting hall improvements, 12 M FOB girders launching work completed
·Parking sheds compound wall nearing completion.
·Lifts and escalators sheeting work is in progress
·All the works are in progress simultaneously and are targeted to be completed by December 2025.
