Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed review meeting on Safety of train operations across the Zone today i.e., 04th August, 2025 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Shri Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR and Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through video conference.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastavalaid primary focus on various safety drives undertaken across the zone to ensure smooth running of trains, enhance safety at bridges and ensure alertness and enforcement of safety protocols by staff involved in train operations. The General Manager also examined the safety action plans pertaining to different departments including Mechanical, Engineering, Electrical and Signal & Telecommunications and reviewed the availability of safety equipments such as fog safety devices, fire extinguishers etc. on trains. While discussing on the crew working hours, he instructed officials to make meticulous action plan focusing on providing proper rest to the on-duty crew at proper time and interval.
Further, the General Manager held a detailed review on progress of various works undertaken across the zone pertaining to passenger amenities, civil infrastructure works, capacity augmentation works, traffic facility works, information technology projects etc., The General Manager reviewed the action plans and progress of work in this regard and advised the officials to ensure proper planning and execution of works so as to complete the projects by targeted date.
