Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook inspection of Tuni – Rajahmundry – Rayanapadu section of Vijayawada Division today i.e., 06th August, 2025. He was accompanied by Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials from Headquarters and Division throughout the inspection.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava carried out a rear window inspection in Tuni – Rajahmundry – Godavari – Kovvur – Nidadavolu – Eluru – Rayanapadu section of Vijayawada division, during which he reviewed the maintenance of Railway tracks and safety aspects of bridges and signalling systems in the section. The General Manager inspected Rajahmundry and Godavari Railway stations, wherein he reviewed the on-going preparations for Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled to be held in 2027. He advised the officials to ensure meticulous planning and seamless execution considering the scale and significance of the event.
Further, Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava conducted a detailed inspection of on-going station redevelopment works at Tuni, Nidadavolu, Eluru and Rayanapadu Railway stations undertaken as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The General Manager reviewed the progress of works at each of the stations and inspected the safety precautions being implemented at the construction sites. The General Manager appreciated the progress of works and advised the divisional officials to further speed up the works so as to complete the projects by the targeted dates.
The General Manager also conducted a detailed inspection of Kovvur Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities, facilities and circulating area of the station. During the course of inspection, the General Manager interacted with media personnel and briefed them on the progress of various projects. Several representatives also met the General Manager and submitted representations regarding Rail developmental plans pertaining to the region.
