RPF Nabs two Inter-State Train Robbers -Recovers valuables worth of Rs. 15 Lakh

Railway Protection Force (RPF) Personnel nabbed two inter-state criminals and recovered the stolen property worth Rs.14,73,800/- (14.73 Lakh) at Secunderabad Railway Station, in a major breakthrough against Theft of Passenger Belongings Offences (TOPB). o­n reliable information, RPF Inspectors of Crime Intelligence Branch / Secunderabad & Vijayawada cornered two persons o­n Platform No. 6 of Secunderabad Railway Station o­n 17th February, 2019.

On enquiry, they have disclosed their identity as Harvendra Singh, S/o Surendra Singh, Age 35 years, Bijanoor, U.P(A-1) and Gaurav Singh, S/o Surendra Singh, M/30, Bijanoor, U.P (A-2) and revealed that they have committed theft of TOPB such as gold, diamonds, cash etc., in trains. Surveillance has been kept for long o­n these criminals. These criminals were also arrested earlier by GRP/Rajahmundry, Kachiguda and Secunderabad. Their Modus operandi is to travel in AC coaches and commit TOPB offences against gullible passengers. At the time of nabbing, they were in possession of the following stolen passenger belongings.

1.Suspected to have been stolen in Train No. 12286 Duranto Express o­n 12.02.2019 at Nagpur (Crime No.0258 dt.14.02.2019 of GRP/NGP & Crime No.115/2019 u/s 379 IPC of GRP/SC): a) Pair of alleged diamond studded golden ear rings b) o­ne chain with locket c)Two stone studded ear studs, all worth Rs.9,50,000/-.

2.Suspected to be stolen from Siddeshwar Express o­n 15.02.2019- a) Antique gold necklace weighing 75 grams approx.b) Pair of antiqueear ornaments weighing 25 Grams , all worth Rs.3,00,000/-.

3.Suspected to have been stolen in Train No.12626 Kerala Express between NDLS-NGP o­n 11/12.02.2019- a) o­ne Gold ring with stones weighing about 03 grams b) Pair of gold ear studs weighing about 5 grams, all worth Rs.30,000/-.

4.Seven pairs of fancy ear rings in o­ne plastic box.

5.a) o­ne black beaded fancy Necklace with locket b) Matching ear studs.

6.3 Mobiles make VIVO, Samsung,Oppo all worth of Rs.30,000/- approximately.

7.Cash Rs.1,63,800/- (Stolen in Mumbai-Sholapur and Siddeshwar Express).

8.Tickets -03 Nos etc.

All worth Rs.14,73,800/-

Further both the offenders were arrested by IPF/Secunderabad for taking precautions to conceal their presence to commit cognizable offence u/s 12 of RPF act and the case is handed over to Government Railway Police officials of Nagpur for further course of action.
