Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook Inspection of Guntakal-Kalluru-Dharmavaram-Dhone Section of Guntakal Division today i.e., 23rd April, 2019. He was accompanied by Shri Vijay Pratap Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division throughout the inspection.
Shri Gajanan Mallya commenced the inspection at Guntakal Railway station where he undertook detailed inspection of the station, reviewed passenger amenities available and discussed with Divisional Officials on the developmental plans. He commenced the section inspection through Window Trailing from Guntakal. General Manager stopped at Level Crossing Gate No. 147 and inspected safety procedures being adopted. He stopped at Kalluru major bridge and inspected ongoing works for construction of new bridge works. At Kalluru Station he inspected station premises, passenger amenities etc. At Garladinne station, the General Manager inspected station building, station manager’s office and interacted with passengers.
Later, the General Manager conducted detailed inspection of Anantapur Railway Station, he appreciated the painting works undertaken to beautify the station premises with encouraging local art and cultural forms. He inspected Goods shed yard, booking office and discussed developmental works with officials and interacted with passengers. He stopped at Chigicherla station and inspected ongoing works for new station building. At Dharmavaram Railway Station, the General Manager inspected station premises, passenger facilities and interacted with media persons. He briefed Media persons on the status of ongoing doubling works between Guntakal – Kalluru – Dharmavam. He said that doubling of the section will enable Railways to run more passenger and freight trains in the section. Further he added, that he had inspected all the minor bridges in the section to review the progress of works. Rail India Technical and Economic Services (RITES) is undertaking the work in fast pace and is likely to be completed by the year end. He also inspected Pamidi, Thurkapalli, Pendekallu, Linganenidoddi and Malliyala Stations in Dharmavaram-Dhone sections.
