South Central Railway Concludes Fit SCR Fit India Campaign

The Fit SCR Fit India campaign was launched by South Central Railway across all its Divisions from 15thAugust to 02nd October, 2020 under the aegis of South Central Railway Sports Association. The aim of this campaign is to encourage fitness by helping us to get freedom from health issues such as obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The campaign received maximum support and participation from employees and their families.

As a part of the same, a digital campaign o­n Fit SCR Fit India was launched by SCR to spread awareness among the younger generation and promote healthy lifestyle. The digital campaign was supported by renowned sports personalities working for Railways to create awareness among the general public o­n the importance of physical fitness. A mobile app has also been developed as part of the Fit India campaign for the benefit of the Railway fraternity of the Zone to have easy access and first hand information about their daily physical activities such as walking, running and other exercises. The app also includes fun challenges and activity goals to keep the employees motivated.

As a part of the Fit SCR Fit India campaign, Fit India Freedom run event was organized by SCR Sports Association o­n 01st October, 2020. The event was flagged off by Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad. Shri B.B Singh, Addl. General Manager, Shri Ram Kripal, Safety Commissioner/S.C circle, Dr. Shri Prasanna Kumar, Principal Chief Medical Director, Shri J.K Jain, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri Amit Goel, CAO and Smt. Jayanthi Mallya, President SCRWWO also participated in this event.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager expressed his happiness and applauded SCR Sports Association for organizing the event. He stated that it is a great initiative taken up especially during the times of Pandemic where staying fit and healthy is the main priority. He also stated that the initiative is highly motivating and will help improve the health of the citizens. He further advised the employees to work out every day to keep fit and encouraged everyone to spread awareness o­n the significance of fitness by joining and supporting this campaign.

All the Covid-19 protocols such as maintaining social distance, wearing of masks and use of sanitizers were strictly followed during the events.
