South Central Railway observed Mahaparinirwan Divas of Bharat Ratna, Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, today i.e., 7th December, 2020 at SCR Headquarters, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway paid floral tributes to Baba Saheb Ambedkar to mark his death anniversary and lighted the lamp. Shri Rajiv Kishore, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Principal Heads of the Departments, Officers and staff are paid homage to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The people of India remember Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar every day as being the architect the Constitution of India which provides equality, freedom and justice to all. Dr Ambedkar was a great leader and social reformer who worked his entire life against discrimination towards the untouchables. He always fought for the rights of down trodden and under privileged people. He fought for the rights of all the citizens of India and not for a particular section of the society.
In view of the precautions to be observed due to COVID-19, all the participants strictly observed the precautionary measures like wearing the masks, maintaining physical distance etc to contain the spread of CORONA virus. All the staff and officers were given staggered timings while paying the tributes to Baba Saheb Ambedkar in order to avoid mass gathering.
