The Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee (ZOLIC) meeting was held today i.e., on 07.12.2020 at the Headquarters of South Central Railway through video conference under the chairmanship of General Manager Shri Gajanan Mallya. All the Principal Heads of Departments and representatives of the Divisions and Workshops participated in this meeting through video conference. The General Manager expressed satisfaction that the Rajbhasha Department is actively working on this railway and the meetings of this committee are being organized on time. He further said that at the present scenario it has become mandatory to work in e-office. All hard files will be closed by the end of this financial year. The e-office has many facilities to work in Hindi, using these all officers and employees can easily work in Hindi. Our aim should be that all the noting should be in Hindi only. He also said that all the magazines of South Central Railway should be published only through e-medium. For increasing interest towards Hindi libraries, provision of useful and informative e-books, e-journals should be made available.
At the outset of the meeting, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari and Principal Financial Advisor, Sri Brajendra Kumar welcomed all the members. He informed that the meeting of Headquarters Official Language Implementation Committee and Review meeting of Official Language Organization was conducted through virtual medium. He also told that it is easy to work in e-office in Hindi. Quick noting and e-terminology can be used to write noting in Hindi. I am using them myself.
During the discussion, Principal Chief Personnel Officer Shri Rajiv Kishore gave necessary information regarding filling the existing vacancies in Rajbhasha Department. Representatives of the Divisions and Workshops presented their progress reports and gave information about the next quarter's action plan.
During the meeting, detailed discussion on the items of the progress report of the last quarter was done by DGM(Official Language) Dr. Syam Sundar Sahu. Information regarding the special work done during the last quarter was given by Rajbhasha Adhikari, Headquarters officer Shri MK Nagaraju. The meeting was conducted by the DGM (Official Language) and the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the RBA/Head Quarters/Secunderabad.
