Shri Gajanan Mallya, GM/SCR Undertakes Annual Inspection Of Carriage Workshop, Lallaguda

- Held Performance review meeting

Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook the annual inspection of the Carriage Work Shop, Lallaguda, Secunderabad today i.e., 22nd March, 2021. He was accompanied by Shri J.K Jain, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri Prasoon Chakraborthy, Carriage Workshop Manager, Lallaguda and other officials.

The General Manager carried out a comprehensive inspection of the Carriage Workshop. He inspected all the maintenance and repair shops at the Workshop and interacted with the staff. The General Manager commenced the inspection by reviewing the Centre Buffer Coupler shop; he inaugurated the Pre-inspection shop and inspected the LHB bogie shop and Wheel shop. He inspected the construction site of Intermediate Overhauling & Component shop. He examined the Power car and the Roof mounted power unit section and checked the Corrosion and New trimming shop. Subsequently, the General Manager inspected the repaired and refurbished coaches at the new paint shop and inaugurated the ‘LHB storage shed’ at the store deport. Later, he planted saplings towards green environment in the premises.

The General Manager conducted a detailed inspection of the Health Unit, he reviewed the medical facilities available for the treatment of staff. He reviewed the HRMS (Human Resource Management System) help desk and released a ‘User Hand Book o­n HRMS’. During the course of inspection, the General Manage inspected various safety equipments available at workshop and interacted with workshop employees, he enquired about the safety precautions being taken by them. He also interacted with representatives of different Trade Unions and Associations.

Later, the General Manager held a performance review meeting with the officials where he discussed o­n further developmental plans for the Carriage workshop. He complimented the team of officials and staff for the excellent quality of work being maintained and expressed his appreciation in adapting new technology to upgrade the working skills.
