SCR Advises Passengers to Follow COVID Protocols Strictly

South Central Railway is implementing COVID protocols strictly in view of prevailing pandemic situation across the country. All the passengers are advised to wear the “Face Masks” at stations as well as all through the journey without fail. They are also requested to strictly maintain “Social Distancing Pattern” at the stations and during the journey also.

It is to be noted that negligent action of the COVID positive persons travelling by trains in contravention of medical mandate will create unsafe conditions for other co-travelers and other railway staff on duty.

In the wake of the situation, rail users are earnestly advised not to travel by trains if they are COVID positive or showing any symptoms of the virus, like fever, cough, severe body pains, breathlessness etc., are advised to cancel their journey and stay safe at their convenient locations.

Thermal Scanning Equipment is installed at all the major railway stations to detect any passenger having high temperature. If anybody is found with high temperature, he/she will not be allowed to travel the journey. “No Mask…No Entry” rule is also being strictly implemented at all railway stations and through the journey also.

Passengers are also requested to check the “State-wise COVID Protocols” of their destination stations so as to have a smooth and hassle free train journey. It is to be understood that the fight against spread of Corona Virus needs joint efforts of all and responsible behavior of public. Therefore, South Central Railway earnestly appeals to all the rail users to ensure that they act with responsibility and support the endeavor of Railways for ensuring a safe journey.

Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway made an appeal to the all rail passengers to follow the COVID protocols and avail the comfortable and safe travelling facility. He also instructed the officials to maintain COVID protocols strictly in terms of maintaining cleanliness at stations and in trains.
