Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR inaugurated First Oxygen Generation plant consisting of two Units with a capacity of 250 LPM (Liters per Minute) today i.e., 29th June, 2021 through virtual mode from Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. This is the first Oxygen Generation Plant set up at a Railway Hospital on South Central Railway to meet the demands of Oxygen to patients undergoing treatment at hospital.
These Oxygen Generation units have been procured with an approximate expenditure of Rs. 80 lakhs. These units were manufactured by M/s. Trimech Engineers Pvt. Ltd, Ahmedabad and set up at Railway hospital, Vijayawada in a short duration of 10 days.
Shri Gajanan Mallya complemented Shri P. Srinivas, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and his team for expediting the process of procuring Oxygen Generation Plants and setting up the units in a record time of ten days.
SAFETY MEETING HELD
Later, Shri Gajanan Mallya conducted a detailed review meeting on Safety, Freight loading, Infrastructure developmental works and prevailing COVID situation, provision of medical facilities etc., Principal Heads of Departments; Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through web conference.
The General Manager also held a detailed review on freight loading performance of the Zone including Parcel traffic. He discussed elaborately on the scope of improving the freight loading, improvement of loading facilities additionally at various locations. He instructed the DRMs to make action plans for growth in freight loading especially materials like Coal, Cement, Granite, Gypsum, Fly ash etc. He conducted a detailed review on the efforts of Business Development Units (BDU’s) and strategies being implemented to improve loading and new traffic avenues.
