- Smt. Jayanthi Mallya, President, SCRWWO distributes essential provisions to 202 members of contract housekeeping staff
The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO), led by Smt. Jayanthi Mallya, President distributed essential provisions to the 202 members of contract housekeeping staff at Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda and Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad today i.e., 14th July, 2021. The distribution was undertaken in the presence of Dr. Prasanna Kumar, Principal Chief Medical Director, SCR and Dr. C.K Venkateswarlu, Medical Director, Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda.
The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization has once again come forward in these difficult times to extend a helping hand to the needy. A total of 202 ration kits comprising of essential items such as rice, cooking oil, wheat, tur dal, flour, salt, haldi, mirchi powder etc., were packed and distributed to all the contractual housekeeping staff at Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda and Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.
In this context, it is also to be mentioned that the SCRWWO under the leadership of Smt. Jayanthi Mallya has been in the forefront of welfare activities especially focusing on health awareness programs for working women and their children to maintain good hygiene. The SCRWWO also extended support by contributing hospital equipment to Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda and distributed safety gadgets to meet the needs during pandemic time. During International Women’s Day celebrations the SCRWWO distributed meritorious certificates to the outstanding women employees across the Zone.
Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR lauded the efforts of SCRWWO for extending their continuous support by taking up several welfare activities among Railway employees during the pandemic crisis. The Contract Housekeeping staff thanked President, SCRWWO and General Manager, SCR for reaching out to them during the present crises time. Treasurer Mrs. Usha Jain, Mrs. Aruna Viswanath, Jt. Secretary and other executive committee members also participated in the distribution program.
