Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway undertook a Massive ticket checking drive at Warangal Railway Station on various Express, Passenger trains between Secunderabad – Kazipet, Warangal- Balharshah and Warangal – Vijayawada routes on 29th July, 2021 from 06.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs and realized Rs. 3.07 lakh as penalty. The ticket checking drive on various routes was to curb ticketless, irregular travel and un-booked luggage. The drive was not only to plug leakage of revenue but also to ensure comfortable and safe journey of bona-fide rail passengers.
The Ticket checking drive was conducted under the overall supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Secunderabad Division, South Central Railway along with 83 Ticket Checking Staff and 7 RPF personnel. During the drive 632 persons were found Travelling Without Ticket and 7 persons were found carrying Unbooked Luggage
During this drive 29 Express trains and other passenger trains were checked and an amount of Rs. 3, 07, 910/- was realized from 639 cases of Travelling without ticket, irregular travel and unbooked luggage.
