Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager Launches the book “Business Management of Railway Stations”

- Shri K.V.Rao, IRTS, Ex Chief Commercial Manager, Ministry of Railways, is the author of book

Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway launches the book titled “Business Management of Railway Stations” today i.e., o­n 22nd December, 2021 in the presence of Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager, SCR; Shri R Dhananjayulu, Principal Chief Operations Manager, SCR and Shri G John Prasad, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, SCR. The author of the book is Shri K.V.Rao, IRTS, Ex Chief Commercial Manager, Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India. The book is Consolidation of day-to-day working rules and Business practices arranged in a logical order that helps the railways and rail users.

Shri K.V.Rao, IRTS the author of the book served in 11 states in India and abroad. He improved passenger services in Railways by innovative ideas. He received awards from Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Governor of West Bengal during the service for this outstanding service to Railways. His other publications are Safety Management of Indian Railways; Working of Manned Level Crossings and Drops in the Ocean. He along with his teams planted more than o­ne lakh saplings at 500 stations in 11 states during his service.

The book “Business Management of Railway Stations” will help and guide the officers and staff of both government as well as Private railways working at stations, sidings and o­n trains to further improve the business of railways and services to the people as a ready recknor. It is also useful to the passengers, freight customers, contractors, rail users, students and public in general.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager appreciated the author in bringing out the book which will help the officers and staff of railways in exploring new avenues and areas in implementing the innovative concepts for improving business model of railways which will help in enhancing the revenue. The book will have more shelf life because of its importance. He also congratulated the author and gave best wishes for his future engagements.
