The 58th All India Railway Championship of Track Cycling was flagged by Shri J.K. Jain, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, SCR & President, South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA) i.e., 09th March, 2022 at the Osmania University Cycling Velodrome. on the opening day, Shri Tanishq Goud of South Central Railway has won Gold Medal in the 1km individual time trial event.
This Championship is organized by South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA), Secunderabad. Shri Sudhakar Rao, Principal Chief Material Manager, SCR; Shri A.K. Singh, Chief Electrical Engineer/Construction/SCR & General Secretary, SCRSA, other sports officers and officials were present. The tournament will be held from 09th to 11th March, 2022 in which nine teams representing various Zonal Railways will participate.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri J.K. Jain, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, SCR stated that Cycling is the sport which will keep our body and mind fit. He also said that sincerity and hard work will pave the way to reach highest recognition in the game and advised the participants to use the facilities provided and perform well in the tournament and excel in National and International events.
