Thirty Two Probationers of Indian Railways Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) of 2019 batch passed out from the portals of Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET) at the Passing out Function held at the Institute today i.e., 07th April, 2022. Shri. Vipul Yadav, topped the training program conducted. The probationers after the completion of the Institutional training will be posted as Assistant Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (ADSTE) at various Zonal Railways. They would be responsible for maintenance of Signaling and Telecommunications assets in train operations and creation of infrastructure for capacity building.
Shri Sudhir Kumar, Director General, IRISET while addressing the trainee officers congratulated all the probationers on their successful completion of Institutional training. He emphasized that the Signal & Telecommunications department has been in the forefront for adopting the new technologies for safe and efficient running of trains and the young officers have to shoulder the responsibility. He advised them to excel in the respective areas of working to enhance safety and improve reliability with an aim to increase revenues for the organization with enhanced satisfaction levels to public and passengers.
Shri P. Venkata Ramana, Additional Director General, IRISET while addressing on the occasion, stressed that the probationers should act as the bridge between the new technologies being adopted and the human resources. Implementation of modern technology systems like Kavach, Automatic Signaling and Long Term Evolution (LTE) would remain on the top of their agenda.
Awards were presented to the Academic topper, best sportsperson, best project, best field training report and best cultural participant. Probationers have put up a cultural program displaying their various talents during the Passing out function. The probationers shared their experiences during training amid pandemic circumstances following COVID-19 protocol. Director General released a collection of memories penned by the Probationers during the event. The speakers highlighted the need to excel in team work involving all stakeholders with technical innovations in the competitive environment to serve the nation.
