South Central Railway celebrated the 131st Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, today i.e., 18th April, 2022 at SCR Headquarters, Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Shri Rajiv Kishore, Principal Chief Personnel Officer was the Guest of Honour. Principal Heads of Departments and other senior officials also participated in the program.
Speaking on the occassion, Shri Arun Kumar Jain stated that the Celebrating the day provide us an opportunity to remember the thoughts espoused by Baba Saheb Ambedkar. A firm believer in Liberty and Equality amongst all the countrymen, Baba Saheb sought respect to all citizens of the country, irrespective of their caste, creed or religion. The priority accorded to protect the interests and welfare of the weaker sections and women employees in the Railways, exemplifies the seriousness of our approach. India as a nation is indebted to him for unifying all under one umbrella of Constitution, by overcoming Caste, Creed, and Communal divide.
Shri Rajiv Kishore, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SCR stated that Baba Saheb struggled a lot in his life time but determination made him to achieve the greatest heights. Baba Saheb was instrumental in making the Indian Constitution one of the best in the world. He was also instrumental in mitigating Caste discrimination and achieving liberty and equality to the citizens of India.
Representatives of Trade Unions and Welfare Associations also participated in the program.
