Under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM), Har Ghar Tiranga program is being celebrated on a grand scale over South Central Railway to encourage the employees to hoist the National Flag of India in their homes. It is envisaged that all the staff members shall hoist the Tiranga at their homes during the Independence week from 13th to 15th August, 2022. Approximately 80,000 households of SCR employees have hoisted the National flag at their homes. The employees working at Zonal headquarters, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded have enthusiastically participated in the program. The National flag has been hoisted in all the offices, workshops, Railway colonies, educational & training institutes and hospitals to invoke patriotic fervor.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager (In-Charge), SCR stated that it is a great initiative by the Government of India and the Indian Railways to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. He appreciated the officials and Divisional Railway Managers of all the six divisions for taking up the initiative on a large scale over the zone. He further advised the team to reach out to maximum number of people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.
To amplify the outreach, South Central Railway has initiated various steps to implement the Har Ghar Tiranga Yojana:
v Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav logo stickers have been pasted on 772 locomotives, Har Ghar Tiranga stickers have been pasted on 1,439 locomotives and 16,657 logo stickers have been pasted near entry/exit doors of 4,319 coaches.
v Playing of Jingles through Public Address systems in English & Hindi languages at Railway stations.
v 174 digital screens and 151 posters/banner were put up at major stations.
v 32 Selfie Points (Standee’s) were placed at all important railway stations across the zone along with posters with QR code to Har Ghar Tiranga website at stations and workshops.
v Stalls and Kiosks at Railway stations displayed flags and posters during the event
v 80,000 National Flags were distributed to all officers and staff over South Central Railway to display at their homes prominently adhering to the flag code.
v Rallies were organized at offices and railway colonies in all the divisions holding flags by Officials, Staff, College/School students, NSS, NCC & Scouts & Guides Volunteers.
