Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook annual inspection of Carriage Repair Shop (CRS), Tirupati today i.e., 30th November, 2022. He was accompanied by Shri K. Venkata Ramana Reddy, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division, Principal Heads of Various Departments and other senior Railway officials throughout the inspection.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain commenced the inspection with Carriage Body Repair Shop, wherein he examined the tools and equipments and reviewed the working conditions. He inspected the LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) Component Shop and inaugurated a new D.V (Distributor Valve) Overhauling Section. Further, he also inspected the Lift & Lowering section and LHB bogie shop, wherein he reviewed the working conditions and examined the worksite tools. He also examined the LHB spring testing machine. The General Manager reviewed the display board of Water Utilization System at the Carriage Repair Shop.
Further, the General Manager inspected the Bio-Digester Maintenance Ward and reviewed the cost, shelf life and utilization of bio-toilets. The General Manager also conducted a detailed inspection of out-going coaches and RMPU over-hauling section. During the inspection, he examined the safety equipment available at workshop and interacted with workshop staff and enquired about the safety precautions being taken by them. Shri Arun Kumar Jain also held a performance review meeting with the officials and discussed on further development plans.
The General Manager appreciated the team of officials and staff for the excellent work done in improving productivity, quality, over all housekeeping and efforts to adopt changes with technological up-gradation initiatives to enhance passenger safety. During the inspection, the General Manager also received representations from various trade union representatives.
