Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook annual inspection of Carriage Work Shop, Lallaguda, Secunderabad today i.e., 06th December, 2022. He was accompanied by Shri J.K Jain, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri Birendra Sinku, Carriage Workshop Manager, Lallaguda and other senior officials throughout the inspection.
The General Manager carried out a comprehensive inspection of the Carriage Workshop. He inaugurated a Heritage Museum at the renovated workshop building. He paid floral tributes to Babasaheb Dr.BR Ambedkar as part of observance of Mahaparinirvan Divas. He inspected the Centre Buffer Coupler Section, LHB bogie shop and Wheel shop. The General Manager also inaugurated Horizontal Drilling & Tapping Machine, Fiat Bogie Maintenance Shop, Pressurized Flushing System and EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) test benches at Power car shop.
Further, the General Manager inspected the Roof Mounted Package Unit (RMPU) overhauling section and reviewed the Display of Headstock module and failure items. He inaugurated the Bogie Component Cleaning plant and carried out a thorough inspection of coaches at the paint shop. Later, the General Manager participated in tree plantation program at the New Admin Building. He also inaugurated Boom Barriers and New CCTV surveillance at the building.
Later, the General Manager held a detailed review meeting with the officials at Carriage Workshop, Lallaguda. He reviewed the progress of various new projects undertaken by the workshop and discussed on further developmental plans with the officials. The General Manager also inaugurated new software for leave management and a handout book for the personnel department during the meeting. He complimented the team of officials and staff for the excellent quality of work being maintained and expressed his appreciation in adapting new technology to upgrade the working skills.
During the inspection, trade union representatives of the workshop met the General Manager and discussed on staff welfare activities.
