South Central Railway conducted 66th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar today i.e., 6th December, 2022 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Floral tributes were paid by the dignitaries, officials, trade union leaders and staff to Babasaheb as a mark of respect o­n the occasion. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway and other dignitaries paid homage to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Addressing the large gathering present o­n the occasion, Shri Arun Kumar Jain stated that education is the o­nly way to bring equality in the society, as desired by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He stated that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is o­ne of the tallest leaders of the Century. He transformed himself from poorest family member to the architect of the largest Constitution in the world. He also stated that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar contributed immensely for upliftment of the depressed people in the society. The people of India remember Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar every day for his greatest gift to the Nation, the Constitution of India which provides equality, freedom and justice to all. He fought for the rights of all the citizens of India and not for any particular section of the society.

Shri Rajiv Kishore, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SCR paid rich homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and called him the greatest personality of freedom struggle. He said that Dr. Ambedkar dreamt for a new social order based o­n equality and brotherhood in the society.

Shri Amit Goel, Additional General Manager, SCR, Principal Heads of Departments also participated. Representatives of All India Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes Association, SCR OBC Association, SCRMU and SCR Employees Sangh also spoke o­n the occasion.
