Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway presented “Man of the Month” safety awards to 66 employees across the zone during a virtual safety review meeting held today i.e., 23rd January, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Principal Heads of Departments; Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions also participated in the meeting.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain virtually presented the “Man of the month” safety awards to 66 employees of the zone for showing alertness and taking timely action to prevent unsafe conditions. The awardees physically received the awards at the hands of Divisional Railway Managers of their respective Divisions. The employees belonged to various categories like loco pilots, Station Masters, Technicians, Points Man, Key Man, Track Man, Gate Man etc. The General Manager congratulated the awardees and appreciated them for being vigilant and performing their duties with utmost dedication.
Later, the General Manager held a detailed review on safety of train operations over the zone. He laid primary focus on enhancing supervision by conducting frequent field inspections to ensure compliance of worksite safety requirements without fail. He discussed various action plans to avoid untoward incidents. In this regard, he instructed the officials to have a focused approach and impart regular training to all the safety staff. The General Manager also instructed the officials to conduct safety drives at work sites involving the concerned departments and supervisors to avoid unsafe conditions.
Further, Shri Arun Kumar Jain reviewed the status of various Rail connectivity projects. The Divisional Railway Managers gave a brief presentation on status of these Rail connectivity projects and also the progress of various other on-going infrastructure developmental works across the zone.
