ShriBhagwanthKhuba,Hon’bleMinisterofStateforChemicals&FertilizersandNew&RenewableEnergy,GovernmentofIndiaflaggedoffTrainNo.07746Bidar – Kalaburagi new DEMU Train Service today i.e., 04th March, 2023 at a function held at Bidar Railway station in the august presence of Shri Raghunathrao Malkapure, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Council; Shri Raheem Khan, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly and Shri Babu Balaji, Chairman, Bidar Urban Development. Shri A.K Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other senior Railway officials were also present o­n the occasion.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Bhagwanth Khuba stated that under the able leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Rail infrastructure development has attained remarkable progress in the State of Karnataka. The development of Rail transport facilities will give boost to all-round development in the region. He stated that the two new pairs of DEMU services introduced between Bidar – Kalaburagi will cater to the needs of the commuters particularly traders, employees and students. The train services provide reasonable, cost effective option for travel along with comfort and convenience, he added.

 

Further, the Hon’ble Minister of state said that the Bidar – Nanded new Railway line project is being undertaken and Rs.100 crores has been allocated for the financial year 2023-24. He also informed that the redevelopment of Bidar Railway Station is being undertaken as part of the Amrit Bharat Station scheme. He stated that the station will be upgraded with modern facilities to meet the long-term needs of the passengers. He stated that Central Government is focusing o­n further enhancement of Rail transport infrastructure to provide the best train services and comfortable journey to the people of Karnataka region.

 

Earlier, Shri A.K Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager presented the welcome address to the gathering and gave a brief presentation o­n features of the new DEMU train services.
