In the Final match, Integral Coach Factory (ICF) team beat South Central Railway and won the Championship of 68th All India Railway Tennis Championship today i.e., 20th March, 2023 at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad. South Central Railway secured the 2nd place.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager was the Chief Guest on the occasion and distributed trophies and certificates to the winning team members. A.K Singh, General Secretary, SCR Sports Association; Shri A.K. Rawat, Joint Secretary, SCR Sports Association and other officers were also present on the occasion.
Total 65 matches held in 6 different categories. In Quarter Finals NFT beat SER with 2-1 and ER beat CR with 2-1. In Semi-Finals SCR beat ER with 2-0 and ICF beat NFR with 2-0. In Finals ICF beat SCR with 2-0.
South Central Railway Sports Association has successfully organized the 68th All India Railway Tennis Championship from 17th to 20th March, 2023. A total of 6 teams i.e., Eastern Railway (ER), Integral Coach Factory (ICF), South Eastern Railway (SER), North Frontier Railway (NFR), Central Railway (CR) and host South Central Railway (SCR) have taken part in this championship.
The Team Championship has been organized in Davis Cup Format i.e., best of 3 matches of 2 Singles & 1 Doubles. Individual Championship has been conducted in Men’s Open Singles, Men’s Open Doubles, Men’s Veteran Singles, and Men’s Veteran Doubles. Women’s Open Singles in round robin. The following International Players were also participated in the Championship. Shri Nitin Kumar Singh (ICF), Shri Pridhvi Shekar (ICF), Shri P.C.Vignesh (SCR), Shri Nitin Kirtana (CR), Ms. Sahi Samhita (ICF) and Ms. Yubrani Banerjee (ER).
