-The inaugural Vande Bharat Express will be operated from Secunderabad to Tirupati on 8th April 2023
-The Train runs as a day service 6 days in a week and provides fast connectivity between Secunderabad and Tirupati.
The indigenously manufactured premium train service of Indian Railways– Vande Bharat Express – is all set to commence between Secunderabad and Tirupati, World famous pilgrim destination from 8th April, 2023. The inaugural Train service will be flagged-off by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi from Secunderabad Railway Station.
The regular services of the train will start on 9th April, 2023 from Tirupati and on 10thApril, 2023 from Secunderabad, for which the bookings have been started from today i.e., 7th April, 2023. The Train Number 20702 Tirupati - Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express will start from Tirupati at 15.15 hrs and reaches Secunderabad at 23.45 hrs. The Train number 20701 Secunderabad – Tirupati will start from Secunderabad at 06 .00 hrs and reaches Tirupati at 14.30 hrs. In between, the train stops at Nalgonda, Guntur, ongole and Nellore stations in both the directions.
The train consists of 07 AC Chair Car Coaches and one Executive AC Chair Car Coache with the total seating capacity of 530 passengers. It will provide the fastest travelling facility between these two stations and has exclusive fully AC reserved sitting accommodation. This train serves the needs of the public travelling on urgent needs like official tours, business purpose and short duration trips apart from people travelling on pilgrimage.
The train is manufactured with pure indigenous technology equipped with modern features and enhanced comforts. The train has automatic sliding doors, provided with Reclining seats in all classes and rotating seats in Executive class. Emergency alarm button and emergency talk back units have been provided through which passengers can talk with crew in case of exigent situations. CCTV cameras are equipped in all coaches for safe and secure travel. It provides safe, convenient and comfortable day journey travel for the people travelling to pilgrim destination Tirupati and back. It is the fastest travelling option when compared with other modes of transport as well as other express trains.

Detailed fares can be obtained through IRCTC website and at the reservation counters. The catering charges are optional and can be selected while booking the tickets. The fares from train starting and destination staion are as follows - The AC Chair Car fare including catering charge from Secunderabad to Tirupati is Rs 1680 and the Executive class fare is Rs 3080. Similarly, AC Chair Car fare including catering charge from Tirupati to Secunderabad is Rs 1625 and the Executive class fare is Rs 3030.
