The Concept of “One station one Product” (OSOP) which has been announced by Union Government has been given more fillip by introducing the sale of Millets through these Stalls. The stations will act as a marketing channel in the form of earmarked stalls through which the millets sale will be done.

In this direction, initially, three stations viz., Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Begumpet have been allotted OSOP stalls through which the sale of millets has commenced.  M/s Nine Nutz, a micro startup is running one OSOP stall at Secunderabad Station Platform -10 and selling millet based sweets and snacks. Millets have been an integral part of our diet for centuries. In addition to a plethora of health benefits, millets are also good for the environment with low water input requirement. With the aim to create awareness and increase production & consumption of millets, United Nations, at the behest of the Government of India, declared 2023 as the International Year Millets. To commemorate this, Government of India is hosting various interactive activities around Millets.
