PR No. 98 - Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR Holds Weekly Review Meeting on Safety

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway held a review meeting o­n Safety of train operations o­n the Zone today i.e., 29th May, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through video conference.

 During the review meeting, Shri Arun Kumar Jain laid primary focus o­n enhancing supervision of freight trains and conducting frequent field inspections to ensure compliance of worksite safety requirements without fail. He reiterated that field level staff at goods sheds and sidings should be sensitized frequently o­n all aspects of safety. He also reviewed the status of refreshers courses, regular training and counseling sessions being imparted to safety category staff including loco pilots and assistant loco pilots.

 Shri Arun Kumar Jai also held a detailed review o­n the status of various developmental projects targeted for completion this year including doubling, triple lines, electrification and station redevelopment works across the zone. He advised the officials to strictly monitor all the infrastructure projects by ensuring proper planning and execution of works so as to complete the projects by targeted date without fail.
