PR No. 238 - Shri Arun Kumar Jain, GM/SCR holds review meeting On Measures to be taken for Safety in Train Operations

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway conducted a safety review meeting held today i.e., 3rd July 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri R.Dhananjayulu, Additional General Manager, also participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.   

Shri Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed review o­n the management of work force to ensure the safety of train operations and hassle free movement of the trains over the zone. He instructed the officials to follow the established safety norms and to come up with new ideas for best utilization of staff.

He instructed the officials to continue the safety drives over the zone and intensify the inspections to ensure the safety of the train operations. He also instructed to counsel the staff personally o­n safety, which can help to build the confidence in every individual. He also instructed Divisional officials/staff to follow the safety procedures strictly as per the Railway board guidelines issued from time to time.

Later, Shri Arun Kumar Jain held a detailed review o­n availability of fire detection equipment and fire extinguishers o­n trains at both AC and Non-AC coaches. He instructed DRMs to conduct regular inspections to ensure proper maintenance of assets to ensure safety and improve punctuality.
