The Bharat Gaurav Trains from South Central Railway continues to witness huge response from rail users. Started as Tourist Circuit Train providing a unique opportunity to rail passengers from the two Telugu states. The train after completing seven trips has commenced its 8th trip today i.e.,
12th July, 2023 from Secunderabad Railway station.
The 8th Bharat Gaurav Train commenced the journey with one of senior citizens travelling by the train, Mrs. Rajya Laxmi (66 yrs) launching it from Secunderabad Railway station.
Shri P. Rajkumar, Group General Manager, IRCTC was also present.
The train gives a unique opportunity to the rail passengers of the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to visit some of the most ancient and historical places in the Eastern & Northern part of the country. Apart from Secunderabad, the train provides boarding / de-boarding facility at 8 places – Like Kazipet, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Pendurti and Vizianagaram across the two Telugu states. They will be taken to important places like Puri, Konark, Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj over a period of 9 days.
Given the unique opportunity the train provides to the rail passengers, passengers not only from Secunderabad railway station but also from enroute stations have come forward to avail the Bharat Gaurav Train services. The train provides opportunity to both AC and Non-AC passengers with a mixed composition – 2 AC (1 coach), 3 AC (3 coaches) and Sleeper (7 coaches). Reflecting the patronage of all segments, rail passengers from both Secunderabad Station as well as enroute stations have availed both AC as well as Non-AC train services.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR has expressed his happiness at the good response received from the passengers for the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train from SCR. He stated that the train provides a great opportunity to pilgrim passengers to visit culturally prominent and historical places without hassle of planning individual itinerary items. He also stated that Bharat Gaurav trains will give major fillip to the growth of spiritual Tourism in the country.
Rail passengers can utilize same tour opportunity during the 9th Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train (Punya Kshetra Yatra – Puri-Kashi-Ayodhya) service commencing on 26th July, 2023 to 3rd August, 2023 for which bookings are open.
