Shri Bhartesh Kumar Jain takes charge as Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division, South Central Railway today i.e., 21stJuly, 2023 at Sanchalan Bhavan Secunderabad. He belongs to the 1992 batch of Indian Railways Service of Engineering (IRSE). He holds a Degree in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee and holds a Post Graduation degree (M. Tech/Soil Mech.) from IIT/Delhi.
Prior to the present assignment, Shri Bhartesh Kumar Jain worked as Chief Engineer (General) on South Eastern Railway. He has held various positions during his service. He had earlier worked as Secretary to General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Kolkata. He has worked for ten years in construction department in various capacities such as Chief Engineer and Dy. Chief Engineer and had completed four major projects of doubling and gauge conversion of about 167 kms and has also executed works for setting up of world class stations at Shalimar and Santragachi stations.
Further construction of Sankrail freight terminal with six loading lines had been developed with modern facilities for freight rake handling was commissioned. Commissioning of three major sheds at Kharagpur Work Shop and Haldia sick line was also completed during his tenure. He has worked for fourteen years in open line as Asst. Engineer, Cuttack, Sr. Divisional Engineer /Waltair and Sr. Divisional Engineer/Co-ord./Chakradharpur, which was 3rd highest loading Division on Indian Railways during that time. Shri B.K.Jain holds keen interest in reading and also plays Badminton, Billiards and Golf.
