Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR Participates in Safety Seminar at Nanded

-General Manager interacts with safety category staff

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR during his visit to the Nanded Division, participated in a Safety Seminar and inspected the Sub-station at Nanded Railway station today i.e., 21stJuly, 2023. He was accompanied by Smt. Neeti Sarkar, Divisional Railway Manager, Nanded division and other Railway officials.

Addressing the safety seminar, Shri Arun Kumar Jain appealed to the staff involved in train operations and maintenance to comply with all safety requirements and procedures, without fail. He advised the staff not to adopt any short cut methods and always accord top priority to safe running of train operations. The General Manager emphasized o­n the importance of co-ordination and understanding between the field level staff and supervisors to achieve the targets. He advised the staff to have a positive mindset and always be focused and alert while performing their duties. 

During the Safety seminar, the divisional officials gave a detailed presentation to the General Manager o­n department wise measures being undertaken for enhancing safety of train operations.  The division laid focus o­n safety aspects of different branches such as Operating, Signal & Telecommunications, Electrical, Engineering and Mechanical. The General Manager also participated in an interactive session with supervisors and safety category staff including loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, train managers etc., During the session, the queries and concerns of the frontline staff were addressed by the General Manager and Divisional Railway Manager.

Further, Arun Kumar Jain held a meeting with section controllers and branch officers at the Divisional Railway Managers office.He advised the staff to accord top priority to scheduled maintenance and safety works across the divisions, while ensuring punctuality of train running. During the meeting, the General Manager also emphasized o­n improving the working hours of running staff including loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, guards, track maintainers etc.

Earlier, Shri Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed inspection of the 11KV/750V Sub-Station for LHB rake testing facility at Nanded station, where he also participated in tree plantation program. The General Manager also visited the Carriage & Wagon (C&W) Depot at Nanded.
