The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO) celebrated the 77th Independence Day today i.e., 15th August, 2023 amongst the school children of Vidya Vihar High School, Chilkalguda, Secunderabad and Central Hospital, Lallaguda Secunderabad.
Smt. R.Srilatha, Vice-President, SCRWWO hoisted the National Flag in the presence oflarge number of students of Vidya Vihar High School in its premises and distributed prizes to the students who took part in various competitions held. Executive Committee Members of SCR Women’s Welfare Organisation also took part in the celebrations.
Smt. R.Srilatha advised the students to utilize the opportunities and excel in the studies to enjoy prosperity in future. She also advised the gathering that we must never forget the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who fought for our getting Independence. We must also pay tribute to all those martyrs who sacrificed their lives protecting our country's borders. Our responsibility doesn't come to an end by celebrating Independence Day. Now our country’s progress and development is in the hands of the future generations of students. Later, students enthusiastically participated and showcased various themed cultural programs.
Later, Smt. R.Srilatha, Vice-President SCRWWO along with other executive committee members distributed gifts to all the new born babies and in-patients in Gynecology ward of Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda.
