Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway presented “Man of the Month” safety awards to 12 employees who have shown alertness and dedication to the duty over the zone during safety review meeting held today i.e., 12th September, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.
Shri Arun Kumar Jainpresented the “Man of the month” safety awards to 12 employees of the zone on virtual mode (Secunderabad Division- 03, Vijayawada Division-04, Guntakal Division-03, Nanded Division-01, and Guntur-01) for showing alertness and taking timely action to prevent unsafe conditions.The awardees physically received the awards at the hands of Divisional Railway Managers at their respective Divisions.
The awardees belongs to various categories like loco pilots, Station Masters, Technicians, Points men, Key/Gate Man and Track maintainers etc. The General Manager congratulated the awardees and appreciated them for the commitment in performing duties with utmost dedication. He also stated that these awards will motivate other employees to work sincerely with devotion towards safety, which will help the railways for safe operation of trains.
Later, Shri Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed review of the safety and punctuality of train operations over the Zone. He mainly focused on the punctuality of the passenger trains in view of ongoing maintenance works over the Zone. The General Manager instructed to plan maintenance works in such a way as to cause least inconvenience to passengers, while giving prime importance to punctuality of train running. He directed the team to give special focus also MMTS trains punctuality and ensure their timely running, with a major thrust during peak hours, for the benefit of suburban passengers in the twin city region.
The General Manager also conducted a detailed review of the progress with regard to the development of stations being undertaken under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) over the Zone. He instructed the officials to undertake stage-wise planning to ensure timely completion of all station redevelopment projects. The Zone has also been developing Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals for facilitating faster and efficient movement of freight goods. In this regard, he also reviewed the progress of various Gati Shakti Cargo terminals being developed over the zone.
